Just because we have free wi fi...

Nothing interesting to add.  Just a couple of pics from day one.  Mostly just taking advantage of the free internet connection.  Christchurch is a nice town, but we are looking forward to getting away from the "city" and getting out to more nature.

Note, today is the Christmas in The Park festival.  Must be 40,000 people in the botanical gardens watching all sorts of performances.  Funniest moment was Santa coming out and shilling for Coke who sponsors the event.  Second funniest was kids in santa hats, shorts, and flip flops.  Gotta love Southern Hemisphere Christmas.

More in a couple of days.

Cheers

We made it

Howdy folks.  We somehow missed Friday, but are now safe and sound in NZ at our B&B in Christchurch.  The flight over was fine until the hour of intense turbulence at the end that turned Laurie green and stopped Graham's heart.

Needless to say, we are thrilled to be in Christchurch and are looking forward to some food, a pint, and a shower.

Word.

Officially entering the world of Blogging

Howdy faithful reader.  Graham here, getting started with blogging.  Still trying to determine the flavor of my posts...  Was thinking either far right wing wacko with a heart of gold, or perhaps angry Muslim youth.  Just can't decide.

Most likely I will just talk about what I feel like as long as it falls within the rules and boundaries set by my wife.  Movie reviews and pictures okay.  Blatant, uncomfortable racism not so good.

I of course am just kidding around.

News of the day is that we have returned to Apple computers with the purchase of an early Christmas present for Laurie of a Mac Ibook.  "I" goes before everything I think.  Also, every button you hit takes you straight to some place where you can spend more money.

"Hey, you want to post pics on the net!?!  Spend $100 a year with Me something
or other.  Ignore Facebook, Kodak, Costco, Picasa, and all the other free services, they don't work so good and the have designs on your sister."  The pressure is getting to me already.

Mostly, I just wanted to make sure that I knew how to use this thing before we head off to New Zealand where my goal is to put a huge dent in the Sheep population by eating rack of lamb every day.  I plan on flossing my teeth with rack of lamb.  It will be awesome.  Granted, I have heard that nobody eats lamb in NZ so I hope that they serve it on the plane.  I am guessing that coach class rack of lamb will be fantastic.

Without further ado, I will stop typing and try to post in some photos from today with our nieces at the Highlands Dog Park.  Still trying to make sure I can use the camera, and this computer as well.  Where the hell is the right click function!?!
